Jura Consultants is one of the United Kingdom’s leading management consultancies specialising in the cultural heritage sector. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all individuals who interact with us. This approach to privacy applies to all personal information received by us from or on behalf of our clients, whether in electronic, paper or verbal form.  It also applies to our website and how we use the website to collect information, how we use that information, and the choices that are available to you regarding our use of your personal information.

What Information Do We Collect From You and When?  

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data").We collect personal information about you when :

  • You provide us with your contact details when enquiring about our services

  • You provide your contact details to us through our website

  • You provide your contact details as part of a survey  or consultation we are undertaking

  • You provide your contact details as part of a contract between us

 The personal information we collect usually consists of your name, Job Title (and Department / Division where necessary); organisation; contact details (email address, telephone number, mobile number, mailing address)

 We will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you have given your prior consent. 

Usage Data

We may use non-personal information how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as device type or geographical location in order to monitor activity on our website to better understand how our website is being used, and what countries our visitors come from. This data is tracked by Squarespace and Google Analytics; for further information, see the Squarespace and Google Analytics privacy policies. However, we do not match your IP address to any other information that would identify you as a unique individual person.

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity, or until such time as you request that we delete your information.

Tracking & Cookies Data

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information (see our Cookie Policy for further information).

Why Do We Need The Information That We Collect from You

  • To contact you (whether by telephone or email), if necessary, about your commission.  

  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service (i.e commenting) when you choose to do so

  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues

  • To analyze web traffic and keep track of User behavior.

  • To comply with our legal and contractual obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce agreements 

 You may object to our use of your information for any of these purposes and you may ask that we cease such use at any time by contacting us

Please note that if we fulfill your request we may no longer be able to communicate with you or to provide you with the services you or your company has been receiving from us. 

With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information? How Long Do We Keep it?

Your personal information may be shared with our nominated sub-consultants. You will be advised of which of our consultants will receive your data.

We will not share your information with any other party, for any reason unless your consent is given.

We will not share your information with any other party, for any reason, unless otherwise disclosed at the point of collection. If that occurs, you will have the opportunity to refuse to give us consent or to withdraw your consent if previously given. 

Files/databases containing personal data (either electronic or manual) are checked at least every two years. This check is to assess the ongoing relevance of the data, its accuracy and the ongoing need to update and retain it. Where this is no longer the case, records will be deleted or confidentially destroyed.

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to provide you or your company with our services. We also retain and use this information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you are a participant in a survey or other research method, we retain your personal information for a reasonable time after the project is completed so that, if needed, we can verify the basis for the survey results. 

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to United Kingdom and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Jura Consultants will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

You May Access Your Information, Correct It And Delete It.

We are dedicated to providing reasonable access to individuals who wish to review the personal information we have retained so that they may correct any inaccuracies it may contain or opt to delete the information. 

If you wish to see the information about you that we have in our possession, if you wish to correct this information or if you wish to have it deleted in its entirety from our systems, please email us at admin@jura-consultants.co.uk

While we will respond to your request as quickly as possible, please allow up to 30 days for any personal information about you to be accessed, extracted, modified or deleted from our servers.

Jura Consultants may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • To protect and defend the rights or property of Jura Consultants

  • To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service

Google Analytics (Google Inc.)

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this Application, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services. This integration of Google Analytics anonymizes your IP address. It works by shortening Users' IP addresses within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

How Do We Protect Your Information?

Jura Consultants takes appropriate administrative, physical, and technical measures (collectively “Security Measures”) to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration and destruction.  Access to these data are restricted to staff at Jura Consultants. Staff are only permitted to access these data in connection with their work. All staff access on desktops and mobile devices is password protected.

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Links To Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be in effect as of the “Last Updated” date referenced in this Privacy Policy.
