LANDSCAPE PARTNERSHIP APPLICATION
The Tweed Forum
During 2017 Jura Consultants led the development of an application to the HLF Landscape Partnership Scheme for a major restoration and tourism regeneration project along the Tweed River. The work included multiple workshops and 1:1 consultations with multiple representatives from over 15 project partners that included Scottish Enterprise, Scottish Borders Council, Northumberland County Council, Tweed Forum, Tweedsmuir Community Company and Scottish Land and Estates. The resulting project ideas, costings and partners priorities were brought together for the application, with support and advice given during the assessment process and a co-ordinating role at the HLF site visit. Whilst the application did not receive funding in a highly competitive batch of projects, it was considered a High Priority for support and was encouraged for resubmission. The work continues into 2018 with a further application being developed for consideration in late summer.
