Paul Jardine is the founder and Managing Director of Jura Consultants. He has some 29 years’ experience of consultancy and has for the last 20 years concentrated on providing advice on a wide range of cultural and heritage projects. He is an economist, accountant and Master of Business Administration. He has developed many business plans for successful projects and has been instrumental in developing project plans that allow concepts to become reality. He has advised a number of Lottery Distributors on individual applications, projects at implementation, projects post-completion as well as undertaking evaluation studies and reviews of application processes.
Paul has been instrumental in bringing together Historic Scotland and the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland to create Historic Environment Scotland. This organisation is responsible for 360 historic sites, including Edinburgh, Stirling and Urquhart Castles. He was a member of the Steering Group that oversaw the options appraisal, a member of the Transition Advisory Board, the independent member of the selection panel for the recruitment of the new Board, and continues his involvement as an independent member of HES’s Audit and Risk Committee. Paul has considerable understanding and practical experience of governance, management and staffing matters related to change and organisational development.
