Alex joined Jura Consultants in 2013 with an MA in Cultural Heritage Management from the University of York, having returned to study following a number of years working for various human rights charities. Her dissertation, focusing on the management of intangible heritage across different cultures, was published in the International Journal of Heritage Studies.
Alex has a keen interest in effective community and stakeholder engagement and its contribution to robust project development in ensuring practical solutions and sustainability. Since joining Jura Consultants, Alex has gained experience across a range of projects. She is particularly experienced in stakeholder and visitor market research, feasibility assessments, strategy and evaluations. She has experience of working with a wide variety of organisations, from small heritage trusts to national museums. Notable organisations on whose projects she has worked include Historic Royal Palaces, the Pier Arts Centre, Heart of Neolithic Orkney, and Perth’s recent bid for UK City of Culture.
Outside work, Alex enjoys training in Muay Thai, though she is more enthusiastic than accomplished.
